Vaccinations Keep your pet protected
Avoid disease
The 3 in 1 cat vaccine for cat flu/enteritis (FVRCP) and the 5 in 1 dog vaccine for distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo virus and leptospirosis (DHPPi/L); help to protect against common diseases.
Be a responsible pet owner
By law, all dogs older than 5 months of age must be microchipped, vaccinated for rabies and hold a valid dog license fromthe Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD). Dogs must be re-vaccinated every 3 years to renew their licences.
Care for your community
Fatal diseases like rabies can be transmitted through saliva to humans and animals via bites or scratches.
Why it's important to vaccinate early
New born animals usually gain immunity to common diseases through their mother's first milk. However, this is temporary or the mother may not have received any vaccinations herself. Any vaccine given before the maternal immunity wears off will not work. That is why your veterinarian recommends a course of vaccinations for a puppy or a kitten. The effect is not instant and we need allow time for the immune system to work.
